YOUR INFORMATION, TREATED WITH CARE

Privacy & cookies.

How MA & Co uses information from the Business Finance Check and consultation enquiries. Last updated 4 October 2026.

Who is responsible?

MA & Co is responsible for the information collected through this website. Contact the team at info@maandcoaccountants.com with any privacy question or use the request form below.

What we collect and why

We collect your name, business name, email address, optional phone number, questionnaire answers and service interests. If you request a consultation, we also save your preferred day, time and any message you choose to provide. The team may record relevant internal notes and follow-up statuses.

We use this information to provide your personalised results, understand your enquiry, respond to you and arrange a consultation. We rely on taking steps at your request before a potential service agreement, and our legitimate interests in managing enquiries and protecting the website. A consultation request is not a confirmed appointment.

Please do not enter bank details, tax reference numbers, identity documents or sensitive personal information. The finance check identifies service needs; it is not a tax assessment or professional advice.

Marketing is your choice

The optional marketing checkbox is separate and unticked by default. If you choose it, we record your consent and its date so MA & Co can send occasional accounting updates and news by email. We rely on your consent for that marketing. Declining does not affect your results or consultation. You can withdraw consent using the form below or by emailing the team.

Who can see your information?

Enquiries are available only to authorised MA & Co team accounts. We use Vercel to host the website, Neon to store data and manage team authentication, and Google if you choose Google sign-in. These providers process information to operate their services. Provider infrastructure may process information outside the UK; MA & Co is responsible for confirming appropriate contractual safeguards. We do not sell your information.

The separate payment demonstration uses Stripe in test mode. The free finance check and consultation request do not require payment. Do not enter real card details in the demonstration.

Retention and security

We keep enquiry information while responding to your request and managing relevant follow-up. MA & Co reviews what it needs to retain and can delete information that is no longer needed, subject to any applicable record-keeping obligations. The final retention schedule is managed by MA & Co; you can ask the team how it applies to your enquiry.

Private results use an essential, secure browser cookie that expires after 30 days. The team dashboard requires an authorised verified sign-in, and checks access on the server. Technical abuse-prevention records use a keyed, hashed network identifier and expire after two hours.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and private access to your results. They are necessary to provide the features you request. We have not added advertising or analytics trackers. You can clear cookies in your browser, but doing so removes access to private results and may sign you out. Marketing consent does not enable tracking cookies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to processing where applicable, request restriction or portability where applicable, and withdraw marketing consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
